Featherweight: Small projects, typically short term one-shot projects. Examples include PSD to XHTML/CSS conversion, logo redrawing/prototyping, and script modifications. These projects normally go from concept to completion in under a week.
Lightweight: These are your light and cost effective projects, usually smaller website solutions and small design projects (brochures or business cards using an existing brand identity, etc). These projects cater to the need for many businesses to create simple lead generation or a static product display quickly. Our turnaround on these projects is remarkably fast, and they can often be completed from concept to completion in a week's time.
Middleweight: These are the bread and butter of our projects. Projects of this category range from small brochure-style websites with a few outstanding features (like photo galleries, forums, or a custom CMS) to more in depth websites that combine a wider variety of web services to create a dynamic user experience but are just beginning to emerge on the web and are on a budget. Often, these middleweight projects evolve into heavyweight projects over time or upon revision. Projects in this category usually last a few weeks, but rarely longer than a few months.
Heavyweight: These projects are the ones that really stand out and shine. Projects of this classification are often complete major brand redesigns, information architecture projects, and sites that want an in-depth e-commerce solution or deeper user-site interaction. Examples of these types of sites include interactive video sites, online stores, or a special marketing website that includes unique user interaction. These projects can be short-term or long-term, and can range from a month to a year (or, in some cases, longer) depending on the scope of the project. The majority of these, however, fall in the 3-5 month range.
Super Heavyweight: These are the unique projects intended to be used by a as few as a thousand to as many as a million (or more) users. These are often the enterprise-scale projects and include projects such as business intranets, modular web applications, social networks, database designs, 3D rendered/illustrated animation, and more. These are normally large-scale projects that are considered ongoing projects that will likely undergo repeated revisions and are often highly monetized.
